In response to orders aimed at spreading terror in the region, the SS hanged 99 residents of the city and deported 149 men to death camps, from which 101 would never return.

In addition to these, there were other cruel acts bringing the total number of victims to over 300. Exploring our website will allow you to understand this tragedy and pay tribute to them.
